Corozal Station

Corozal Station

Corozal Passenger station: In 1916, a small passenger station was built for all the first residents of the town of Corozal. Corozal was created to house the people who lived in Gorgona, a town that disappear when the Gatun Lake was created. In this town there was also a hospital that served all the Silver Roll towns near: Diablo heights, Corozal, Pedro Miguel and Paraiso. However, this station did not last long, it was demolished in 1956 when a housing restructuration project was in place when the neighborhoods of Cardenas and Los Ríos was created.

After this demolition, the residents had to either go to the Balboa heights station or Pedro Miguel station. This station also hosted a railroad model built by the Canal Zone Society of Model Railroad.
