Second building of the Panama Railroad Station: this station existed between 1884 and 1913. It was built for the necessity to accommodate the increasing number of passengers using the railroad when the Compagnie Universelle du Canal Interoceanique started the project of building a canal through Panama and with Ferdinand de Lesseps as the president. This was a two-story building, in the main story, there was the ticket office and the platform to get in and out of the trains, in the second story, there was the telegraph stations, a service that the railroad also offered.

This building was located just north of the 5th of May plaza, immediately south of the now extinct Calidonia bridge that connected the city with the Sabana Road (today the Spain avenue) the trains ran under the bridge.
