The Panama Railroad Commissary: It was a building constructed and inaugurated in 1940. It was located at the southern end of what was then called Gaillard Highway, today known as Omar Torrijos Herrera Avenue. It housed the commissary for the Silver Roll workers in the Ancón area. It was later named the Tivoli Commissary. It was closed 20 years later, in 1960, as it was located within the territories that were to be returned to Panamanian control under the terms of the 1955 Remón-Eisenhower Mutual Understanding and Cooperation Treaty.

At that time, the building became the freight terminal of the Panama Railroad and was connected to the main rail line via a secondary track running parallel to Curundú Street, now known as Ascanio Villalaz Avenue. In 1984, after the relocation of the railroad’s freight terminal, the building was transformed into the Central Agricultural Market, popularly known as the Mercado de Abastos. It remained at that site until 2019, when it was relocated to Merca Panamá.

Afterward, the building was demolished, and the area is now part of the Electoral Park within the complex of the new headquarters of the Electoral Tribunal of Panama.
